FAQ

Please read all of my info before booking with me!

What styles do you tattoo?

I specialize in fine line, geometric, illustrative, and blackwork tattoos. My work leans on dotwork and stipple techniques, and I'm drawn to botanical subjects, animals, ornamental pieces, and surrealism."

Do you repeat flash?

I do repeat flash. My available designs are NOT REPEATABLE. if you like a piece from my available designs that has been done, I can make something similar but not exactly like it.

How do I book?

To book an appointment fill out a custom form here.

Not every request is going to be the right fit, and that's okay. If your idea aligns with my style, I'll reach out to answer any questions and get you booked. If it's not a match, I'll do my best to point you in the right direction.

All appointments require a $150 deposit that goes to the overall price of the tattoo. All deposit information will be sent via email after appointment approval. After receiving the deposit you will receive a confirmation for your date, time, and any other information you will need to know on the day of your tattoo appointment.

Do you do custom tattoos?

I do custom tattoos contingent on my style and ability to fulfill my clients needs. Submit an inquiry here or come in for a consultation to determine if we would be a good fit to work together. Custom tattoos require a $150 deposit that secures your spot and allows me to start designing your tattoo. The deposit goes to the overall price of the tattoo.

What is your cancellation policy

I will reschedule appointments with at least 24 hours notice before the appointment. The deposit will carry over to the rescheduled appointment. If you do not show up on the date and time of your appointment, you will lose your deposit.

How do you care for your new tattoo?

If you left the shop wrapped up in second skin (like Saniderm)—congrats, you’re a human burrito.
Here’s how to keep that wrap working for you, not against you:

  • Leave it on for 3–4 days. Yes, you can shower with it. No, you can’t take a bath or soak in any bodies of water.

  • If it starts leaking, peeling up, exposing the tattoo, or feels like your skin is throwing a tantrum—take it off early and skip to the next steps.

  • Keep sweating to a MINIMUM while the second skin is on. If you sweat, save it for the day you’re taking it off.

When it’s time to remove it:

  • Do it in the shower (warm water helps it come off easier, and nobody likes a dry rip-off situation).

  • Wash it gently with your hands using antibacterial soap or a gentle, liquid, fragrance-free soap. No scrubbing. No loofahs. This ain’t an exorcism.

  • Pat it dry with a clean towel—not the one you used on your armpits.
Let it air dry for 10 minutes before putting anything on it.

Moisturizing Do’s & Don’ts:

  • Unscented lotion is the move. (Lubriderm, Aveeno, etc. Keep it boring, your skin will thank you.)

  • If you must use Aquaphor or coconut oil, use a ridiculously thin layer. Like, if you can see a sheen, you’ve already done too much.

  • Don’t smother it. Your tattoo needs to breathe. Remember: it’s a wound, not food you’re trying to preserve.

Ongoing Care (aka: Common Sense 101):

  • Wash it once a day (or if it gets dirty/touches anything). Moisturize as needed.

  • No picking, scratching, or peeling. Let it flake like some dandruff in peace.

  • Stay out of pools, hot tubs, oceans, and anything swamp-adjacent for at least 2 weeks.

  • Keep it out of the sun. Once it’s healed, SPF is non-negotiable unless you want your tattoo to age like milk.

  • Wear loose, clean clothes. Let it breathe and avoid chafing. This is healing, not CrossFit.

Healing takes around 2 weeks, depending on your body and the tattoo. If you have questions, reach out to me or the shop before consulting Dr. Internet.

What Do I Need To Know Before My Appointment?

Schedule your appointment for a time when you can arrive well-rested and nourished, not coming directly from work or an event. Ensure you can take a break from exercise for the following week and avoid pools, hot tubs, and saunas for a few weeks afterward. Consider your tattoo's placement and avoid clothing or activities that may cause friction or peel skin prematurely. For sternum, shoulder, and back tattoos, minimize wearing bras as much as possible.

For hand tattoos, consider how your job might impact healing. Jobs involving frequent handwashing, glove use, labor-intensive tasks, or hand sanitizer can dry out the skin and affect the healing process. If your hands are dry, apply heavy moisturizer leading up to your appointment. Because hands experience high usage and thinner skin, touch-ups are often necessary, especially around knuckles and fingers.

Do Not Arrive Sick or Sunburned.
Coming in sick risks exposing studio artists to illness, potentially forcing cancellations. Since we do not receive sick pay, we kindly ask you to reschedule if you're unwell.

Tattooing over compromised skin, like sunburns, can negatively affect healing. If you're concerned about damaged skin, contact your artist in advance.

Please moisturize the area before your appointment!

Where are you located?

I'm based out of San Diego and currently spending summer 2026 guest spotting in Seattle, Washington. Follow me on Instagram (@ink.bobs) for live updates on where I am and where I am headed!

Do you do guest spots?

Yes! I travel and guest spot at shops around the country. I'm intentional about where I work and I gravitate toward inclusive, queer-friendly, and women-owned studios. It matters to me that the spaces I tattoo in feel safe for everyone who walks through the door. Follow me on Instagram (@ink.bobs) or subscribe to the Inner Loop for updates on where I'm headed next.

How much do tattoos cost?

Pricing depends on size, detail, and placement. Larger custom pieces are quoted after consultation.

My hourly rate is $250 an hour. My minimum is $150. I require a $150 deposit to start drawing any custom pieces.

How far in advance should I book?

I am usually booking 1-3 months in advance. If you want to get in sooner, follow me on Instagram (@ink.bobs) for last minute openings or subscribe to my newsletter to join my newsletter the Inner Loop.

Do you do consultations?

Absolutely! I love consultations and I do them for free. Fill out my tattoo booking form HERE so that I can get a better idea of what you would like and we can book a consultation from there.
